Connect Your eBay Account

Connecting your eBay account lets RelistKit work with eBay directly. It fills in eBay's real fees and your payout on every eBay sale, records eBay sales whose email never arrived, applies refunds and cancellations, and ends your eBay listing when the item sells somewhere else. Connecting is optional, and it works on every plan.

Connect eBay

1. Open Settings.
2. Under Cross-listing platforms, make sure eBay is switched on.
3. Under eBay account, click Connect eBay.
4. Sign in on eBay's page and approve RelistKit.
5. You're back in Settings, with the message "eBay is connected."

Once you're connected, RelistKit looks for your eBay orders from the last 30 days, so recent sales are caught up right away.

What the connection does

• Fees and payout: each eBay sale gets eBay's own figures, instead of an estimate. On the Sales page, a sale's fees say From eBay, Estimated (when eBay isn't connected) or Entered by you. Fees you've typed yourself are never changed.
• Missed sales: RelistKit checks eBay every 3 hours, so an eBay sale is recorded even if its email never reached RelistKit.
• Refunds and cancellations: they're applied to the sale for you. A refund on an order with more than one item is the exception: record that one yourself.

To check right away, click Check eBay now. It looks at the last 7 days of orders and 14 days of fees and refunds.

Ending eBay listings automatically

When an item sells anywhere else, RelistKit can end its eBay listing for you, so nobody buys it twice. This is switched on when you connect. To change it, use the switch End my eBay listing automatically when an item sells somewhere else.

RelistKit can only end a listing it knows about: one you cross-listed with RelistKit, brought in with an import, or recorded on the item page under Published it yourself?.

When it ends a listing, the item's Platforms card says "Ended on eBay by RelistKit", and your sale email says "Ended on eBay for you". If eBay refuses, the item page says why. End the listing yourself in eBay's Seller Hub, then mark it delisted on the item page.

If your connection stops working

eBay asks you to approve RelistKit again about every 18 months, or if you remove its access on eBay. When that happens, a red banner on your dashboard says "Your eBay connection stopped working", and RelistKit sends you an email.

Click Reconnect eBay (takes a minute) on the banner and approve RelistKit on eBay's page. Nothing is lost: RelistKit catches up on the last 30 days.

Disconnect eBay

1. Open Settings.
2. Under eBay account, click Disconnect next to your eBay name.
3. Click Disconnect to confirm.

Fees stop filling in, missed eBay sales aren't recorded, and listings aren't ended for you any more. Nothing changes on eBay, and the sales you've recorded stay.

Common questions

Can RelistKit change my eBay listings?

It only ends a listing when the item has sold somewhere else, and only while that switch is on. It never lists or edits anything on eBay, and it never ends listings on Poshmark, Depop or Facebook Marketplace. For those, it reminds you to take them down.

An item sold on Poshmark, but my eBay listing is still up. Why?

Check these:

• the switch End my eBay listing automatically… is on
• eBay is connected, and doesn't need reconnecting
• RelistKit knows the eBay listing: the item's Platforms card shows it
• the item's Platforms card doesn't show a reason eBay refused

End the listing in Seller Hub, then mark it delisted on the item page.

Do I still need to forward my eBay emails?

Yes, if your plan includes automatic sale detection. The email is the fastest way RelistKit hears about a sale, and the connection checks every 3 hours as a backup.

Why did an eBay sale's Sold for change?

Once eBay is connected, RelistKit uses eBay's own order totals, so Sold for less the fees always equals what eBay paid you.

Can I connect more than one eBay account?

One per RelistKit account. Connecting a different eBay account replaces the first.
