Cross-list to eBay

From an inventory item page, one button opens eBay's listing form and fills everything out.

Before you start

To cross-list items to eBay, make sure:

  • You are signed in to eBay in Chrome.
  • You have created square versions of photos from the inventory item page.
  • eBay is selected under Settings → Cross-listing platforms, or the button will not show.

1. Press Cross-list on eBay

Go into the inventory item page from the Inventory > Items page in Relistkit, then click Cross-list on eBay on the right side of the page. A new tab opens on eBay's "create listing" page with the category already chosen from your item's category and department: a men's jacket goes to Men's Coats, Jackets & Vests, a women's to Women's. Kids' items have no automatic category yet; pick it in eBay's picker.

2. Watch it fill

The extension fills the title, condition, brand, size, color, department, and the other item specifics eBay asks for in that category (for jackets and coats that includes Style and Outer Shell Material, read from your listing's own words when needed), then uploads the photos, then writes the description last. Cross-listing to eBay does take longer to cross-list than other resale platforms and competing cross-listing tools because we attempt to populate up to 20 fields (other leading cross-listing tools usually target only six).

3. Check three things

  • The category. eBay's categories are deep. If the one chosen is wrong, change it in eBay's picker; the specifics may need refilling, and the panel offers each value with Copy so you can paste.
  • The specifics eBay marks required. Some categories require a field RelistKit has no value for (a pattern, a sleeve length). The panel lists them; pick from eBay's dropdown.
  • The description. It lands last. Scroll down and make sure it is there and complete.

4. Price, shipping, publish

Set your eBay price (fees differ from Poshmark; many sellers price a little higher) and your shipping choice. Click eBay's List it button at the bottom of the page. Back on the item page in RelistKit, eBay shows as listed.

Common questions

A field says "could not fill". eBay's form changes often. The panel gives you the value with Copy; paste it into the field. If the same field fails on every listing, contact our team and we'll update the browser extension.

The description is empty. Wait; it is written last and can take a few seconds after the rest. If the page reloads or eBay wipes it, the panel writes it once more. If it is still empty, copy it from the panel.

eBay put the listing in the wrong category. Change it in eBay's picker before publishing.
