Cross-list to eBay
From an item's page in RelistKit, one button opens eBay's listing form and fills it out for you. You check it, add your shipping, and publish. Cross-listing to eBay works on every plan.
Before you start
- You're signed in to eBay in Chrome.
- You've made square versions of your photos on the item page (see Before You Cross-list).
- eBay is switched on under Settings → Cross-listing platforms, or the button won't show.
1. Click Cross-list on eBay
Open the item from Inventory → Items in RelistKit, then click Cross-list on eBay on the right side of the page.
A new tab opens on eBay's listing form, with the category already chosen from your item's category and department: a men's jacket goes to Men's Coats, Jackets & Vests, a women's to Women's. Kids' items go to the Boys' or Girls' category, depending on the listing's words.
2. Watch it fill
Leave the form alone while RelistKit fills it. The panel shows each step: photos first, then the title, category, item specifics, condition, SKU and price, and the description last. For jackets and coats, the item specifics include Style and Outer Shell Material, read from your listing's own words.
Cross-listing to eBay takes longer than other marketplaces, because RelistKit fills many more of eBay's fields than most cross-listing tools.
When it's done, each row in the panel says Filled, or tells you what to do. If the badge at the top says Partial, some fields need you: look for the highlighted rows.
3. Check three things
- The category. eBay's categories are deep. If the one chosen is wrong, click Edit beside it on eBay's form. The item specifics may need filling again: the panel has each value with a Copy button, so you can paste it in.
- The item specifics eBay marks as required. Some categories need a detail RelistKit has no value for, like a pattern or a sleeve length. The panel lists them: pick them from eBay's dropdowns.
- The description. It's written last. Scroll down and make sure it's there and complete.
4. Price, shipping, publish
- Check the price. RelistKit fills it from your pricing rules (see Set Your Pricing Rules). On the Free plan, it's your Poshmark price. Change it on eBay's form if you like.
- Choose your shipping. RelistKit never fills shipping, returns or eBay's business policies.
- Click eBay's List it button at the bottom of the page.
The RelistKit panel then says the item is recorded as listed on eBay. On the item page, reload, and eBay shows as listed.
Connecting your eBay account isn't needed to cross-list. Once you connect it, though, RelistKit can end your eBay listing when the item sells somewhere else. See Connect Your eBay Account.
Common questions
A row says "Automatic fill could not reach this field".
eBay's form changes often. Click Copy on the row and paste the value into eBay's field. If the same field fails on every listing, contact our team through Support and we'll update the extension.
The description is empty.
Wait: it's written last, and can take a few seconds after the rest. If the page reloads or eBay wipes it, RelistKit writes it once more. If it's still empty, copy it from the panel.
eBay put the listing in the wrong category.
Change it with Edit beside the category, before you publish.
A photo didn't upload.
Don't list it yet. Close the tab and cross-list to eBay again from the item page.
Why is my eBay price different from Poshmark?
Your pricing rule for eBay sets it. The rule you start with is 5% lower than Poshmark, ending in .99.
My listing wasn't recorded.
On the item page, paste the eBay listing's address under Published it yourself?, then click Record on eBay.
