Import Your Closet

If you had listings on Poshmark before RelistKit, you don't need to recreate them. One button on your closet page walks through every available listing, reads its details and photos, and adds the listing to the RelistKit app. Then you can cross-list any of them. This article explains what the importer does, what it costs you in time, the one risk, and how to run it well.

What it does

RelistKit opens each of your listings in your own browser, one at a time, the way you would if you clicked through them yourself, then it copies the details and photos into RelistKit. It only looks at listings that are available (for sale right now). Sold listings are skipped; they are not inventory.

It runs at a human pace: a few seconds per listing and a short pause every 25 listings. At this slower pace (which we do intentionally so it looks like authentic user activity), we can import about 300 listings per hour. A closet of 1,000 available listings takes three to four hours. You can pause any time and pick up later; it remembers exactly where it stopped, and running it again never creates duplicates.

The one risk

Poshmark's Terms of Service prohibit automated activity on their site. This walk is technically automation, even though it runs in your browser at a human pace and only reads your own listings. The activity carries far less risk than most cross-listing and sharing bots, but it is why we show a warning and require consent before the import begins. Risk is extremely low, and we have never seen any action taken as a result of similar activity.

What you need

  • The Chrome browser on a computer that will stay awake, with the RelistKit tab open and in front. If the tab is hidden behind another window, the walk pauses until it is in front again (Poshmark does not load pages in hidden tabs).
  • Time. We'll let you know how long the import might take in the RelistKit extension sidebar.

How to run it

  1. Sign in to Poshmark and open your own closet page.
  2. Press the RelistKit button in the lower right corner, then Import this closet.
  3. Read the statement and click I understand the risk.
  4. RelistKit switches your closet to the Available view and starts counting listings. The plan says how many listings, the rate, and about how many hours and sessions. Press Start Importing.

  1. Keep the tab active and wait for the scan to complete. The panel will show updates like: "Importing your closet: 140 of 1,149 listings". Press Pause whenever you need the computer; Resume later, even after closing the browser.
  2. When it finishes, the panel confirms what happened. Anything that could not be read is listed; Retry failed gives just those another go.

What you get

Every listing becomes an item in Inventory in the RelistKit app with its photos, exactly as written on Poshmark. Each carries an Imported tag on its item page. From there, update photos to include square versions and cross-list like any other item.

Common questions

Do I have to do it all in one sitting?

No. Pause, close the browser, come back tomorrow; Resume Import on the closet page continues from the next listing.

What if Poshmark shows a "verify you are human" check?

RelistKit stops and tells you. Complete the check yourself in the tab, then press Resume. That is exactly the kind of moment the pace is designed to avoid.

Does it use credits?

No. Importing copies your own listings; nothing is generated.

Some listings failed.

Usually a listing that sold or was removed during the walk, or a page that would not load. Retry failed tries them again. You can also add failed listings manually from their respective listing pages with Add to RelistKit.

Can I import only some listings?

Not as a batch. For a handful, open each listing and press Add to RelistKit in the panel.
