The RelistKit Workflow

RelistKit works best when you follow one path for every item. This article explains our recommended path, and why we suggest it. Once it becomes a habit, you'll take an item from photos to published on several marketplaces in a few minutes. For a detailed walk-through of your first item, see Your First Listing, Step by Step.

Why Poshmark first

Poshmark is where you already take photos and make drafts, and its draft form is the one RelistKit reads best. So every item starts as a Poshmark draft. RelistKit writes the listing there, you publish there, and everything else flows from that one source.

You never type the same thing twice, and there's exactly one place where the truth about an item lives: its item page in RelistKit. Each time you cross-list, RelistKit reads the live Poshmark listing first, so your latest changes carry over.

The path

1. Photograph and draft on Poshmark. We recommend the Poshmark app on your phone: take or add your photos to a new listing, but don't write anything. About 8 photos is good, including the tags and any flaws. Save it as a draft.
2. Open the draft on your computer. Go to your drafts on Poshmark and open the one you made. The RelistKit button is in the lower right corner of the page.
3. Let RelistKit write the listing. Click the RelistKit button, enter a SKU and cost if you like (both are optional, but they help later), and click Generate Listing. RelistKit reads your photos and fills in the Poshmark form.
4. Review what RelistKit wrote. Read the panel's Review before publishing notes, and fix anything in the form. AI won't always get everything right, so this check matters.
5. Publish on Poshmark. Click Update, then List This Item.
6. Open the item in RelistKit. Click Open item in RelistKit in the panel. Make square versions of your key photos with the scissors on each one, and check the Bought for and SKU.
7. Cross-list. Under Platforms, click Cross-list to all, or one marketplace's button. Each marketplace opens in its own tab, with its form filled in.
8. Review and publish everywhere else. When each tab's panel says Filled, check the details and photos, add shipping, and publish with the marketplace's own button.

Why the review matters

The fill is only as good as the item page. A title that's fine for Poshmark may be too long for eBay, and a main photo that isn't square gets cropped by eBay in ways you won't like. AI isn't perfect either, so a quick look at everything helps prevent problems later.

After it sells

• With your sale emails forwarded (Starter and up), RelistKit records the sale, marks the item sold, and emails you links to take it down everywhere else. See Automatic Sale Detection.
• With eBay connected, RelistKit can end the eBay listing for you (see Connect Your eBay Account).
• For a Facebook Marketplace or cash sale, click Record a sale under Sales.

What you already own

Have listings from before RelistKit? Bring them in:

• One at a time, on any plan: open the listing on the marketplace, click the RelistKit button, then Add to RelistKit.
• Your whole Poshmark closet, on Growth and Pro: on your closet page, click the RelistKit button, then Import this closet. See Import Your Closet.
• From eBay, Depop and Facebook, on Growth and Pro: see Import from eBay, Depop and Facebook.

Common questions

Can I start on eBay instead?

RelistKit writes listings on Poshmark drafts. Listings you already have on eBay, Depop or Facebook can be added to RelistKit, though, and from the item page you can then cross-list them anywhere they're not, Poshmark included.

Do I have to cross-list everything?

No. Cross-list what you think will sell elsewhere. On Inventory → Items, choose Not on all your platforms from the dropdown to see items that aren't everywhere yet.

What if I change a listing on Poshmark later?

RelistKit re-reads the Poshmark listing each time you cross-list, so the next cross-listing carries your change. Listings already published on other marketplaces don't change by themselves: edit them there.

How many credits does one item use?

1 credit to write the listing, and 1 more if you research the price. Cross-listing is free.
