Settings Explained
Settings is where you tell RelistKit how you sell: which marketplaces you use, your sales tax, your time zone and more. This article is a quick tour of every card on the page, with a link to the full article for each one.
To open it, click Settings in the top menu.
Every change saves the moment you make it, and a "Saved" message confirms it. There's no Save button. The one exception is the GST/HST number, which saves when you click out of the field.
Cards for features your plan doesn't include say which plan they need, with a See plans or Upgrade button. On a wide screen the cards sit in three columns; on a narrow one, they stack in the order below.
Your plan
Shows your plan. On a paid plan, click Manage plan to change it, or Billing and invoices for your card and invoices. On Free, click See plans. See Plans, Credits and Billing.
Cross-listing platforms
Switch on the marketplaces you sell on. RelistKit only offers cross-listing (copying a listing to another marketplace) to the ones that are on. Poshmark is always on, because that's where your listings start. On the Free plan, Depop and Facebook Marketplace show a lock and an Upgrade button: Free cross-lists to Poshmark and eBay.
Once eBay is on, an eBay account section appears under it. Connecting your eBay account is a separate, optional step. See Connect Your eBay Account.
Switching a marketplace off only hides its cross-list buttons. Nothing changes on the marketplace, and you can switch it back on at any time.
Automatic sale detection
Starter and up. This card holds your private forwarding address: forward your Poshmark, eBay and Depop sale emails to it, and RelistKit records each sale for you. Recent emails, at the bottom of the card, shows what arrived and what happened to it. See Automatic Sale Detection.
Sales tax
Every plan.
- Province or territory: where you live. RelistKit uses it to work out the tax on what you paid for your items, whether or not you're registered.
- Registered for GST/HST: switch this on only if you've registered with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency). When it's on, you also fill in your GST/HST number, how you price Facebook Marketplace sales (tax included, or added on top), your Filing period (how often you file), and whether I use the quick method (a simpler way to work out the tax you send in).
- Also registered for PST shows in BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and Also registered for QST in Quebec.

Consignors
Growth and up. Switch on Track consignors paid on a split if you sell items for other people. Consignors then appear under Trackers, items get a Source field, and each sale shows the consignor's share. Switch it off to hide all of this: nothing is deleted. See Consignment Partners and Commissions.
Item costs
Two choices about what you paid for your items:
- On each item's page: Just what I paid shows one simple field, and Every detail (Starter and up) adds a full Costs card.
- The costs you enter: whether the amounts you type are Before tax, the price on the tag, or With the tax I paid.

Your details
Your Time zone. Every date and time in RelistKit uses it, along with your credit reset and the months and years in your reports.
Browser extension
Shows whether the RelistKit extension in this Chrome is connected to your account, with Connect this extension or Reconnect this extension. Setting up a different browser? Click Get a connection key, and paste the key into the extension's settings there. See The Panel Isn't Showing?.
Notifications
Pro only. Monthly business review by email sends your review on the 1st of each month. Switched off, the review is still on your dashboard and under Reports. See Your Monthly Business Review.
Pricing
Starter and up. A summary of how each marketplace's price is worked out from your Poshmark price, and of your price drops. Click Edit pricing rules to change them. See Set Your Pricing Rules and Lower Prices on What Hasn't Sold.
Not on Settings
Your name, email, password and data requests are on the Account page: click your initials in the top right corner, then Account. See Your Account. The setup guide is in the same menu.
Common questions
I changed a setting by accident.
Change it back. Switching a marketplace or consignors off deletes nothing. A few settings do change your numbers:
- Your province, GST/HST registration, the quick method and The costs you enter re-work the cost of every item, including ones you've already sold, so your past profit figures change to match. The amounts you typed never change.
- Registered for GST/HST and Facebook Marketplace sales only change the tax on sales you record yourself (Facebook Marketplace and Other), from the day you change them. Sales already recorded keep their tax.
Why can't I switch on Depop or Facebook Marketplace?
The Free plan cross-lists to Poshmark and eBay. Starter and up add Depop and Facebook Marketplace.
Where do I turn off email alerts?
On Starter and up, sale alerts go to the email you sign in with, and can't be turned off: they're how you know to take an item down from the other marketplaces. The only email you can switch off is the monthly business review, on Pro.
Will my settings be the same on my other computer?
Yes. Everything saves to your account, except the Browser extension card: each Chrome connects on its own.
